About Us
When Matty was diagnosed with cancer in January 2009, we realized that people wanted to help. The amount of love and support that poured out through our community was impressive. We were constantly asked "what can we do for you?" The goodness of people is what got us through the tough days. We always had a hot meal delivered, our lawn was mowed, our other children were cared for, we had gift certificates, clean clothes and rides to the hospital.
We realized that not every family was as lucky as ours. Some were really struggling to make ends meet and to keep their homes running.
Our mission at Friends for Matty is to provide financial assistance to families with children who are battling cancer. In addition, some of our proceeds will be donated to hospitals to enhance family resources and support research for neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers.
